Friends Forever - F&N + A.sweeT. Spring 2011

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend. And we think rocking diamonds on a friendship bracelet is even better. 

Back in August of 2010, A.sweeT. introduced the NYC based jewelry line, Frieda & Nellie to Los Angeles for the very first time. The response to the line was great and F&N + A.sweeT. became fast friends. Both the line and A.sweeT. share the same idea in terms of fashion - be sophisticated and chic, but have some fun while you're at it. 

Frieda & Nellie bracelets are friendship style bracelets woven in vibrant pop colors but are also mixed with unique vintage jewels from the 1920's - 1970's. They are really the best accessory you could ask for, as they add life and style to any get up that you're sporting. The best part? They are all handmade and one-of-a-kind. So, you won't see some other girl walking down the street with the same bracelet as you. These bracelets are just as unique as each friend that you have. Sigh. Oh precious.

A fresh new batch of bracelets just arrived in time for spring 2011 - and we love them even more than the first collection! They are the perfect companion to pair back to shorts and a tee; or a sweet little dress that needs a splash of color. Stack them up, mix them with other bracelets, or wear them alone. Top 10 in 2010

We must say 2010 was good to us. We had a lot of exciting things happen in the past year - especially given the fact that we celebrated our one year Anniversary! Wooppee! 

Take a look at our Top 10 Highlights of 2010: 

1) LA Confidential Making "The List" 

LA Confidential was very good to us over the past year. We can't even tell you how their outpouring support has encouraged us and excited others. We will forever be indebted to all that they have done and continue to do for us! 

2) CRAVE Los Angeles - Book Feature

CRAVE LA - The Urban Girl's Manifesto - is a guide to amazing places in Los Angeles run and/or owned by female entrepreneurs. We were so flattered and excited to be chosen as a featured boutique in the first edition of this book. Being amongst some of Los Angeles' best & brightest was a huge honor. If you don't have a copy of the book - you need to pick one up ASAP. You won't regret it. 

3) A.sweeT. Fairytale Wedding- Montage, Laguna Beach

Over the summer we were asked to do a candy bar for an exquisite wedding of 300 people down at the Montage in Laguna Beach. It was such a pleasure to bring a touch of sweetness to such a special and loving event. It certainly was A.sweeT. wedding and we might add that everyone was nuts about the candy bar. Chocolate Jordan Almonds were the favorite. 

4) People.com - Celebrity Sightings

We have had our fair share of celebrities pop in, in our day; but we mind our business and try not to make such a fuss over it, as courtesy to the stars. However, when a sighting from our store landed on People.com's Celebrity Sightings page we couldn't not have been more excited! Common' its People, people! 

5) TMZ 

A few months back we were awoken from our "ZZZ's" when we received a phone call that A.sweeT. was on TMZ. The darling Elizabeth Berkley was seen leaving A.sweeT. with her husband. They even declared that the key to their happy relationship was, "Lots of Candy." We love it and we love them. What A.sweeT. couple! 

6) Rock & Bowl - EB Kids

We were honored to help and be part of the fundraising event for EB Kids.  EB - Epidermolysis Bullosa - is a group of diseases characterized by blister formation after minor trauma to the skin.  Suffering from EB is like having burns covering the majority of your body. However, unlike a common burn, these wounds will never go away. So many of these little guys are suffering from this terrible disease and the least we could do was be part of the event to help raise money and awareness to find a cure.

7) A.sweeT. + Frieda & Nellie  = B.F.F.

Good friends are few and far between but A.sweeT. + Frieda & Nellie make a perfect pair. A.sweeT. welcomed the line as a first to Los Angeles. We had so much fun having designers Stacy Herzog and Sarah Reid at the boutique for the trunk show and the event. Their whimsical bracelets that pair sophisticated & fun are perfect mates for A.sweeT.  B.F.F's Forever. 

8) Toys for Tots - The Drive that Rocked

Its the most wonderful time of the year! The holiday season is a time of joy, love and generosity. So to show our holiday spirit we became an official Toys for Tots drop off location. The drive was a huge success and we were overwhelmed with the generosity - bikes, ping pong tables, guitars, and more! Santa was certainly present for some little ones this Holiday season! 

9) MTV's The Hills  

While MTV's The Hills was still one of the hottest shows on the air, A.sweeT. was fortunate enough to get some airtime alongside of Stephanie Pratt & Audrina Patridge. The girls were gaga over A.sweeT. and we adore them back!  We had so much fun helping both Steph & Audrina shop both on screen and off. They could not have been any sweeter, much like the whole MTV staff & crew. 

10) A.sweeT. Year! 

Back in October, A.sweeT. turned one and we certainly had some fun! We were so excited to celebrate our big one year anniversary with some of our closest friends & clients. We served up some "Gummy Bear Margaritas" and had too much fun with our Photo booth and props, courtesy of Pictobooth. The most rewarding part of the night was seeing all of our loyal supporters and shoppers smiling with us and helping us down the path to continued success.
